Last few days before heading home

Posted by on April 5, 2012

The last couple days I’ve been busy enjoying Melbourne. I have explored some of the many alleys that are full of life with cafes and stores.

Gone to some of the many parks around the city. A park is usually never more then a few blocks away.

I’ve had quite a bit of fun catching a few of the international comedy festival shows that is all over the city right now. The immigration museum is quite interesting. It gives a great history of the different stages of immigration to Australia. Probably one of my favorite museums I’ve ever been to was the Melbourne Museum this morning.

I spent about 3-4 hours exploring the exhibits. There were some amazing dinosaur skeletons as well as a huge display of other animals including some live bugs.

Upstairs was an evolution exhibit with some information in Charles Darwin. As well the human mind and body exhibit was interesting. In the centre of the Museum was a forest with ponds of fish. As well there was another section dedicated to the history of melbourne.

Tonight I’m relaxing watching the footy game on tv at a cool English pub called Sherlock Holmes.

A few times I’ve passes the colourful chinatown and finally took a pic of one street tonight.

I’ve picked up a couple Australian foods to share back home. Some Vegemite for on toast and the super addictive Tim tams.

Tomorrow morning I head back to Sydney for the night before getting on the plane back home.
